Deborah Di Fiore is a multi-disciplinary visual artist, art director, and graphic designer based in Paris.

After studying art history at La Sorbonne and visual communication at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Deborah moved to India in 2005, drawn to its vast artisanal heritage. Enriched by travel and local traditions and crafts, her design philosophy has led to sustained collaborations with a diversity of brands across fashion, lifestyle, homeware, and entertainment.

Deborah has led branding, art direction, visual merchandising, product design and scenography for clients including Ecru, Le Mill, Sophia 208, Hot Pink, and Art-chives. From 2018 to 2020, she was art director at Nicobar, leading all visual communication for the Indian lifestyle brand. She worked for seven years with leading French jewelry designer Marie-Hélène de Taillac as production manager, as well as graphic designer and head merchandiser for exhibitions in Tokyo and New York. She was also part of the core team for MHT’s ‘Love from Jaipur’ exhibition at Le bon Marché in Paris, designing the show’s visual identity as well as an exclusive line of hand-made accessories, stationery and clothing.

Spatial and cultural immersion also inform Deborah’s visual art practice: sharp observation gives way to a fluid abstraction in her works, capturing nebulous memories of place and time through landscapes, portraiture, architecture, and the natural world. Working predominantly with oil pastels, watercolours and aquarelle on paper, her art is marked by an evocative colour palette and playfulness that seeks to transform the transient and quotidian into whimsical recollection.

Since returning to Paris in 2019, she continues to collaborate with brands in India, while expanding her design and art practice in France.
